Advanced Sculpture

Description

A continuation of ART 250. An advanced sculpture course that requires students to work closely with the professor to develop individual projects in media of their choice. Students prepare work suitable for submission in a graduate-student portfolio. By semester's end, students will have the ability to objectively critique and articulate content and vision in ones work and concretely place it in an historical context. Students are required to maintain a detailed sketchbook that includes artistic vision, and to write and present an in-depth research paper on a selected exhibition of a sculptor. This course may be repeated for credit.
