Description
The purpose of this course is to introduce the historical and cultural movements in Spain from the 1700s to present times. This course will explore the main historical, literary and cultural tendencies that occurred in Spain from the 18th century to 21st century. Topics will include: the link between literature, history, and the arts, society and its traditions. The student will study a main text on civilization and culture of Spain as well as selections of literary, critical, and/or artistic works related to the topics discussed in class. Prerequisite: SPN 313 or equivalent.
