Department: Computer Science

Overview

The Computer Science Department offers programs that prepare students for careers as computer professionals and/or for continued study. The department provides students with a broad-based background in computer science and includes courses in computer software, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data science, and computer hardware. We are committed to offering courses that stay current with changing technologies. Our students are advised with both academic plans and career milestones.

The department offers a BS in Computer Science, a minor in Computer Science, and multidisciplinary majors and minors in conjunction with other departments across the college. The department also offers an MS in Computer Science and participates in a CUNY multi-campus doctoral program. Our BS degree is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET which means our program meets the highest national standards.
